Beyond the Breast: Body Contouring in the Context of Breast Reconstruction

Much of my practice revolves around breast reconstruction, complimented by a major component of aesthetic plastic surgery. I believe that combining the two is the key to achieving excellent aesthetic results in both arenas. Principles of reconstructive surgery are applied to achieve safe results in aesthetic surgery, and aesthetic principles are used in the reconstructive setting to optimize outcomes.

In partnership with The Marena Group, I recently gave a talk about body contouring in the context of breast reconstruction, going beyond the breasts. It is a synopsis of my thought process in approaching aesthetic surgery in reconstructing the entire torso and enhancing it within the context of breast reconstruction.
