ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dr. Nouri is a breast medical oncologist who has been in practice for 10 years. She has been working at New York Cancer and Blood Specialists since graduating from her hematology-oncology fellowship at Stony Brook in 2013. Prior to that, Dr. Nouri completed her residency in internal medicine at Winthrop University Hospital. Dr. Nouri specializes in breast oncology and sees patients with various breast needs ranging from breast atypia, invasive cancer and metastatic breast cancer. She is the OneOncology Breast Pathways Chairperson, a national platform for independent oncology practices, and she speaks to various organizations and practices regarding the management of breast cancer. She sits on the tumor boards of various institutions including Mather Hospital, Stony Brook University Hospital and St. Francis Hospital. She is the lead medical oncologist for the Fortunato Breast Center located in Port Jefferson, NY. She works in collaboration with leading breast surgeons, breast radiologists, and breast centers in an effort to provide cutting edge care to her patient populations. She is active in enrolling and recruiting patients for clinical trials.

In her free time, Dr. Nouri enjoys spending time with her daughter, Luciana, and her husband Jason. She is an avid gardener who loves working out and devoting her time to give back to the breast community. She hopes to continue to empower all who have been touched by breast cancer.
