A Celebration of Life

Breast cancer and reconstruction related events often focus on the disease, its treatment, or the surgeries patients have undergone. Instead of portraying patients as thriving, dynamic beings, full of life, these gatherings victimize their participants, who often leave feeling less buoyant than they had going in.

That’s why we created The Uplifting Event, a positive celebration that is for breast cancer patients rather than about them. What started as a fun evening in the office with 40 patients has grown into a series of vibrant events that include patients, partners, and other medical professionals, with hundreds of attendees, musical numbers, fundraising opportunities, and more.
