NYBRA feature in Good Housekeeping and Woman’s Day

The entire NYBRA team is committed to whole patient care. We have spoken countless times on the importance of open communication, bedside manner, compassion, and shared decision making. We believe that it is essential for the entire medical community to step up and embrace these values.

We are excited to announce that our doctors were featured in the January issues of Good Housekeeping and Women’s Day magazines in a piece that discussed our holistic approach to breast reconstruction. The doctors began by diving into where patients find themselves at the start of their breast reconstruction process and the fear that tends to permeate the experience. They stressed the importance of considering those emotional factors right from the beginning. Then, they provided an overview of what it means to treat the whole patient and how the psychological effects of mastectomy, reconstruction, and the entire physical and emotional processes can impact a patient’s life.
